thanksgiving weekend

Overall, Thanksgiving weekend was pretty fun. I went shopping A LOT..seriously...spent WAY too much money. haha. Well here's a mini recap:

THURSDAY: We left the house at like 6 AM and we got there around 12. We made a few stops, so it took us longer than usual (we weren't in a hurry anyway). We went to my grandma's house first. Quang, Viet, Tom, and I went to Q Cup, Wal Mart, and then the mall, which ended up being CLOSED. haha Then we went back to their house and hung out for a while. At around like 5 ish we went to Quan and Ky's house for dinner. It was nice seeing everyone. The food was SUPERRR DELICIOUS!! I ate soo much! haha It was all good until they started talking about colleges (since Tom was stressing about his essays). I've never been through soo many put downs in my life. haha Well, actually, I probably have been through more, but still! From my own family?! If my relatives don't think I could make it into a good college then how could I have faith in myself? They made so many "jokes" and mean remarks...like..of course I put on a happy face. Of course I laughed "with" them....but C'MON. Do they seriously think these things don't hurt me? Well, I was hurt at first, but then I thought to myself, "Does it matter what they think?" I think I can get far in life. I know I can. But I do need to get my act together. haha I've been slacking WAYY too much. Well back to the happier stuff...So at night I went with Kyla's family to their house so that I could sleep over. My uncle FINALLY got a new car! It's about time! haha He always said he wanted to wait til his car broke down, but he gave it to someone that needed it more than he did. haha I'm GLAD. It was a piece of aksjdj anyway. haha :] So in the car, I found out Ian is ADDICTED to the song Apologize! ahhaha OHH MANN. It was hilarious! We had to put it on repeat for him! Every time it ended, he'd be like putting his hands together BEGGING his dad to put the song on again. He'd be like, "PLEASEE PLEASEEE PLEASEEE." haha It seemed like he was about to cryy! ahha SOO CUTE. Thanksgiving was pretty successful.

FRIDAY: I had to watch Ian in the morning when his mom had an emergency patient. It was soo tiring! ahha Like I think I got some muscle, now, since I had to hold him a lot. It was hard getting his mind off of his mom. haha We had to play hide-and-seek, we had to race in his cars, we had to draw with chalk, etc.etc. It was pretty crazy. Thank God my cousins came to rescue me. ahha I got to go SHOPPING at Valley Fair with them. Well, Ian's mom was home by that time, but yeah. So at first I didn't find a thing. Well, I would find things, but there were so many people and the lines were so long that I got really lazy. haha So we went to eat at the food court, and Viet and his friend arrive at the mall, and I decided to go shopping with them. It was fun, I guess. haha I actually BOUGHT stuff! :]] Then his friend dropped us off at Viet's house/my grandma's house. We all ended up meeting there...like the wholeee wholeee family. There was, again, delicious foodd. haha It was funny when Ky started crying because his mom didn't want to get him some game because he didn't finish his food. loll. I was like, "I'll get it for you for Christmas. What is it?" He stopped crying like immediately. And he told me right away what game it was--> my sims kingdom? Something like that! haha. But yeah. That night I went to Kyla's house again to sleep. When we got there, she was asleep already, so we didn't play any games. haha

SATURDAY: We left Kyla's house, and it was good-bye Dang's and hello Dao's. We first stopped by my mom's friend's house in Palo Alto. They were college roommates and we just went to visit for a while and stuff. We brought them baked goods from Goldilock's! That place is soo goood. haha No wonder Marina used to eat it so much. ;] haha After that we went to Don's house. Tom and I said hi and stuff and then we got dropped off at the mall with Don. We were going to see a movie, but we got too lazy, so we just shopped the whole time. It was pretty funn. Getting new clothes is always fun. haha :] When we got back to the house, a bunch of people came over (family friends, dad's cousin's family, etc.). We didn't eat turkey, but we ate a bunch of like seafood stuff. It was REALLY good. Then I got to meet my newww cousin! haha He's 7 months old, but I didn't have a chance to see him when my parents went to visit him like 7 months ago. He's pretty cute. He was soo fragile! haha I was like soo afraid of dropping him (unlike ian! haha ). But yeahh. I loveee babies! :]]

SUNDAY: So we left Norcal this morning at like 7ish. We were in no hurry once again. We stopped by to eat at this restaurant near San Luis Obispo? Something like that. This restaurant was really cute. The food was like New Orleans style and there were like Mardi Gras decorations everywhere. I ate the Fat Tuesday Omelet, which was REALLYYY gooooood. :]] FORREALS. I totally recommend this place lol. Then we stopped by the CAMARILLO OUTLETT!! AHHH omgg... SOO MUCH STUFF! lol. Well, I wanted to go there for only 1 thing. I finallyy got a new Juicy bracelet! I couldn't help but to buy a charm to go with it. haha It was buy one get one half off! lol. The charm is kinda big for my wrist, so I'm going to make a necklace out of it! :] Soooo cutee. When I got home I took a shower RIGHT AWAY. I felt soo greasy. LOl. It was WAYY too cold to shower in the morning, so I waited 'til I got home to do it ---> that explains the GREASE. LOL. Then my mom made this REALLY good instant noodle soup. Seriously..the BEST. haha :]] And then I finished my article and got ready for church.

So my weekend was pretty funnn. A LOT of shopping done, A LOT of mooola for the birthday, and A LOT of family time. I only took 2 pictures this year (as opposed to 82374 pictures last year). ahha I got really lazy.

OHH and my cousin has a BABY BUMPPP!! I'm actually REALLY excited now!! :] can't WAIT to shop for HER and the BABY!

Failure is one of my biggest fears, and I've failed. Am I THAT bad at writing? HONESTLY. I've written 2 articles this year, and the first one didn't go on because the topic wasn't good enough. The teacher was mainly complaining about her job. Well, okay then. I'm okay with that, but my most recent article. The one about Flos Angeles. I know it wasn't GREAT, but was it THAT bad? So bad that the editor couldn't fix it up to make it good enough? I know the topic was good. And yeah it was a bit unorganized (kinda), but c'monnn!! I played it cool or whatever, but seriously...I don't think anyone knows how discouraging this is. And since there's nothing to write about for the upcoming article, they asked me to do a review on the new The Killers CD. -__- I thought, "Okayyy. I can jus ask Tom to help me since he's obviously very good at doing funny/clever reviews (his Lil Wayne video)." Sucks that he can't. He has essays for college applications! GAHHH. WHAT AM I GUNNA DO!? Maybe I can read different reviews and go from there. I won't copy it, but I'll just get ideas. :] I used to listen to them, but what am I gunna say about it? My taste in music isn't like most people's. haha How am I supposed to write a review about a CD?! Like...I'm not good with this stuff. I think I just suck at journalism in GENERAL. I'm a failure. -_-

One more day of school, and I'm off to Norcal! :] I'm really excited to see my babies. haha I am READY for Thanksgiving. FORREALS!

I have a SORE THROAT! NOT GOOD. I need to get rid of it before Norcal, or my aunt and uncle won't let me go near Eeny! hahaha o_O

This is REALLY weird, but I have the urge to design/make jewelry. haha Like, all of a sudden, inspiration is everywhere. I have some sketches and stuff. Maybe I should take a class for fun later on. Maybe when I become a middle-aged woman with no life, I can start making jewelry. :]

If it weren't for them, I don't know what/who would've cheered me up today. I am BLESSED.

success

My kick-back was not what I expected, but it was still definately goood. :] It was like a mini reunion-type thing with my old close SJW friends. I think I should've invited more people, but eh. It was still pretty fun. There was A LOT of food, and thank God they ate most of it. haha. We chilled, talked, ate, had a "76 Ball Fight" lol! I was soo scared of them breaking all my furniture and stuff. ahaha But nothing bad happened, so it's all good. The only bad thing is cleaning up was a PAINN. haha. The sleepover part was still fun, even though Alicia couldn't come and Marina isn't allowed to sleepover anyone's house. haha : / Hazel and I were like updating eachother about our lives, prank calling, texting Ian, etc. It was really fun.

Today was my birthday lunch at Bistro Ka. We were supposed to have it at Red Robin, but it was like SUPERR crowded. We decided to go to CPK after, but then we didn't want to wait 30 minutes, so we went to Bistro Ka. haha It was really funnn. I'm so glad a lot of people showed up. Arthur and the wasabi--bahaha his face was PRICELESS. :] And pinkberry was delicious, as well!

Things were pretty good this weekend. Nothing was how I expected, but it was great. :] Overall, I had a good birthday this year. I can't wait 'til NEXT year! haha

preparations

I've been pretty busy yesterday and today. I had to go out with my mom and buy a buncha stuff for my kick-back today. I'm SUPER excited. Not many people are coming, but it's because I wanted it small. I'm sure we'll all have a good time. Can't wait for the sleepover tonight, too! Facial, nails, gossip, movies, FOOD, etc. GAHHH :] My mom has been preparing the food since yesterday! SOO MUCH MEAT! haha

I finally got a haircut! NO MORE SPLIT ENDS! lol. I didn't cut much, since I'm still trying to grow it out, but yeah.

...once again...I can't WAIT 'til NORCAL! i miss this baby. :[ can't wait to see him!

thankful

So I'm FINALLY 15! I'm seriously soo thankful for ALL my friends and family. :] It took me an HOUR saying thank you to everyone on facebook yesterday. haha I also got many phone calls, comments on myspace, and IMs on AIM. haha How did I spend my day?

-School (Viri got me cupcakes! And I got some cards. :]])
-Liz took me to Pinkberry and then Bounce
-Went to P.F. Chang's with my family
-Went home and watched Sam Potter on ANTM
-Went shopping, since there was a HUGE sale at Macy's and it was open 'til 11 pm (yayay new clothes!!)
-Went online and talked for about 1 1/2 hours

I'm really excited for this weekend! Althought I'm not seeing Twilight this weekend (because I know there'll be screaming, LOUD girls in the theater -_-), I'm still gunna have a LOTT of fun! Kick-Back/Sleepover is Saturday and Sunday is the lunch thing! Once again, I'd like to say THANK YOU to EVERYONE who remembered my birthday :]

Speaking of being THANKFUL, Thanksgiving is next week! GAHHH! I loveee this time of the year. Thursday morning = nor*cal + Sunday morning = go home. Can't wait to see everyone! OOOH! Be sure to check out beyonce's new album - I Am...Sasha Fierce. There are a lottt of good songs. I like practically the WHOLE album! It's really soft and comforting in a way. ahha A lot of her songs are more upbeat and stuff, but I really like this softer album. I recommend it to ALL. :] It makes me want to dance. Halo is a good song.

unusual....excitement

So today was a pretty unusual day. It started out with a stomach ache, and I usually don't get stomach aches in the morning (anymore at least haha). And like I've had it the whole day pretty much, but it only REALLY hurt at some points. It's really weird...maybe STOMACH FLU? I have no idea. I should look into it. And it hurts the most after I eat. You probably want to suggest going number 2. Well, the thing is I've definately tried it. hahaha It did not help! haha I can't afford to miss any days of school. I need to do as many assignments as possible, and I can't miss any lessons. I hope I feel better. : /

Anyways, so later today I believe I'm going to hollywood to see paramore! HOPEFULLY my ID works. I brought it to school today and I asked around if it looked okay. No one noticed anything until after I told them, so I think I'll be okay. If I don't get in, Anh Kiet is willing to pick Liz and I up. We have to feed him, but that's okay. I think I'm actually morein the mood for eating and chilling around that area than see paramore. I mean, they're probably gunna go on late ANYWAY since usually the artist CLOSES the show. We don't want to go home too late, because it's a school night and stuff. I just hope all goes well.

Today has been a good day so far. Nothing too bad has happened, and I'm thankful for that. haha Today was a staff development day, too! So classes were shorter. :]] OOHH and good news! Mr.McKinley is supposedly staying 'til Thanksgiving. YAY! and I think Mrs.Greene is coming in 2 days!

first blog

I haven't had an online journal type thing in a while. I think ever since I got in trouble for xanga at my elementary/middle school I stopped having one. I've been thinking about blogging to update my relatives and friends about my life, and I finally made one. :] I'll probably have a lot of little pointless things on here, but whatever! I'm using this to let out my feelings, thoughts, opinions, etc.

So as most of you probably already know, I don't really like the school I go to. I guess I shouldn't say the school, because it's not really the SCHOOL that's bad...it's the PEOPLE. Sometimes I think it's just me, but I don't know. Like I hate the fact that most of the people lack respect and manners. SERIOUSLY. How hard is it to say "excuse me" instead of just pushing around and like saying things like "get out of my way, b!$@*!"?? For example, today this guy in front of me was really slow, so I like went in front of him. He yelled out things like "this damn b#%^* got in my way" and stupid stuff like that. I was like WOWW. He was SUPER slow, so obviously he wasn't in a hurry or anything. I hate people like that. And I hate how kids can cuss the teacher out and not get into any trouble for it. Sometimes I think about what it'd be like if I actually went to a private, Catholic high school like my dad wanted me to. I think I would've enjoyed it a lot more. Too bad it's too much of a hassle to transfer. If it was easy to just switch out of THS, I would've done it a long time ago. I guess you can say that this is the "real world", but dangg. It sucks. haha. Yeah I just wanted to let that out. I am getting SICK of it. Hmm...I just realized that I say LIKE a lot. haha I need to stop.

Enough of the bitterness. So tomorrow is the paramore thing at Jimmy Kimmel Live. I'm really excited, and I'm hoping they don't check for ID. If they do, then I hope my fake one will work. haha. Even if I don't get in, I'm sure Liz and I would still be able to hear them. It's an outdoor concert, so yeah. Plus, I don't think Liz would just leave me out there by myself. She's not even into paramore that much. I dont think she's into them AT ALL, actually. haha I'm gunna meet up with Ryan and Charlene probably. It'll be fun. I'm really excited.

Oh, and 2 more days 'til my birthday! I'm FINALLY gunna be 15! ahha I've been waiting WAYY TOO LONG. :]

Oh and I've been thinking....I think I should really start trying in dance. I was planning on starting when the actual teacher comes, but why not show Mr.Mckinley how I really dance? ;] (Not that I'm good or anything haha -_-) And it kinda sucks that he's leaving. I like Mrs.Greene's dances and all..but I don't know. I wish I had them BOTH! haha I think Wednesday is his last day at THS. :[ Oh well. I guess I'll see him and his dance crew on ABDC!

Speaking of ABDC and Mr.McKinley, I hope my article goes on the paper this month. I'm starting to think it won't make it, because the editor was asking me different questions about it. She was confused or something. : / I guess I suck at writing. haha Actually, I always thought I was decent. I think it's just the whole "article format" that makes me akldjksd. It's hard to explain. I just hope for the best.
